Hahahaha! And just when I thought that Racks have vanished into oblivion, I saw a branch at Greenhills in the Connecticut parking complex (and it was said that it has another branch in Makati).

I kinda miss the barbecue sauce that makes all the steaks yummier:

Though I’m not much of a steak fan, the barbecue sauce (the regular one, but I also like the extra spicy one) can also be used in their chicken dishes.

I love this chicken dish, not just because I’m a chicken person, but because it’s not very salty.  I’m not all that crazy about the mashed potatoes, though.  I’ve tasted something better but it’ll do.  And the original barbecue sauce all over the chicken is enough to make me forget the shortcomings of the mashed potatoes.  Also, the meal is only for P160.  Quite a good deal, I think.

CPK EDSA Shangri-La.  Grrr! for the stubborn bystander.  I think he wants to have his picture taken too.

Last week, my parents and I have decided to use the California Pizza Kitchen GC I got from PBA ’08.  It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at CPK.  The last time, I think, was during internship and it was at CPK Makati.  The one in the picture above is the storefront of CPK EDSA Shangri-La.  The lighted up ramp is a curiosity, makes one feel like going up a spacecraft or something.  And as for that bystander, I don’t know if he’s waiting for someone.  I’ve politely asked him to move out of the frame, but he’s quite stubborn and simply lowered his head.  Perhaps he thought I was only taking a photo of the brightly lit CPK name.

I like the whole carpeted dining area, which reminds me actually of a living room.  LOL.  But it gives that warm feeling and actually gets you in the mood to eat.  And the soft yellow lights makes it all a relaxing atmosphere.  The waiters are friendly too, and I noticed that they have ample knowledge of what’s on the menu that they could considerably answer almost all our questions about some of the entrees.

We didn’t eat much, as it’s only snack time for us then.  But we did have a pizza and a pasta:
