I can’t believe my eyes when I saw the new look Heaven & Eggs Glorietta Branch has, which I’ve only noticed last night:
Where did the white porch go?
So, gone was the bright and sunny ambiance, the swing, and the all-wholesome look. The placed looked darker and played music by U2 and the like, a move that speaks of a decision to cater to the more “hip” crowd. And apparently, it is marketing itself more as H&E, rather than Heaven & Eggs.
Hematoxylin & Eosin? Looks like a rockstar’s logo
Browsing the menu, the pancakes, waffles, and crepes are still there, together with the pasta and other meals, but with different names.
I remember this one as belonging to the old menu but I just forgot the original name.
Surfin’ and Rockin’ pancake P145 solo / P155 sharing (?)
This dish is 3 layers of pancakes with drizzles of pineapple and banana syrup, tidbits of the same fruits, and a generous dash of slightly toasted coconut. I think it was okay, just enough to satisfy my pancake craving. And the pineapple and banana combination is a refreshing alternative to my usual strawberry and chocolate combination. But still, I think the strawberry-chocolate duo reigns supreme. Maybe next time I should try the strawberry and oreo combination. If you’re going to order this though, I’d suggest that you eat it with a buddy. I wasn’t even able to finish that tower of pancakes. And considering the fact that I’m a Pancake monster, that’s definitely a surprise. And if that’s the size for a solo, I wonder how big the pancakes would be for sharing.
