I’ve heard so much about this new food item from KFC through plurk, twitter, and facebook that I’ve decided to give a try. The Heart Attack sandwich, only rivalled by Wendy’s Baconator sandwich which is the true “sandwich” (see sandwich definition from Wikipedia), is made up of two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken fillets (Original Recipe or Grilled), two pieces of bacon, cheese, mayonnaise and a special sauce…a tasty diet disaster, in my opinion.

This sandwich has already made a lot of Canadian health experts unhappy, thinking the consequences of munching too much of this sandwich can be a potential burden to the public health system of the country. No surprise, then, when KFC decided to pull off the Double Down sandwich from its menu in its Canadian branches. FiveThirtyEight has a nice graph comparing KFC’s Double Down to other fastfood sandwiches.
I think it would be better eaten with rice and could be shared by two people. And I don’t fancy the bacon that much because it is TOO SALTY!!! But one can’t deny that some of the tastiest foods are really unhealthy. But I won’t recommend that this should be consumed that often.
